Johann (ジョハン, Johan) is a man under Adolf Reinhard's tutelage that joined the Annex Project to find a cure for the deadly A.E. virus that afflict the Earth.

Annex I Arc (2619 A.D.)[]
Sometime after the execution of Plan Delta, Squad 5 was ambushed by a large group of Terraformars. With the death of Isabella R. Leon and the exhaustion of Adolf Reinhard, the non-combatant members of Squad 5 started defending their captain from the Terraformars. Shortly, they were captured by the Terraformars before eventually being caught up by the explosion of Adolf's body.
Powers and Abilities[]
As a low-ranking member of Annex 1, with a M.A.R.S Ranking of #88, Johann is classed as a non-combatant and possesses low fighting ability.
M.O. Operation[]
As a member of Annex 1, Johann underwent the M.O. Operation allowing him to survive on the surface of Mars without breathing equipment, and his operation base was the loggerhead sea turtle.
Enhanced Durability: After transforming Johann gains a shell that offers him some protection but it was quickly broken by a pair of club-wielding Terraformars.
Enhanced Adaptability: Common to all recepients M.O. Operation, Johann gains the open circulatory system and armored skin of the the treehopper which allows him to survive in low-oxygen conditions such as the surface of Mars.

- Anti-Terraformar Bug Capturing Net. Despite being a non-combatant, Johann was shown to use a net launcher.
