Erika Nakanojo (中之条 江莉佳, Nakanojō Erika) is a Japanese crew member (doctor) of Annex I, and was placed in Squad 1 led by Shokichi Komachi. The organism base of her M.O. Operation is a Schlegel's Japanese Gecko.

Appearance

Erika is a slender built women with a young girl's facial feature and long straight hair.

History

Past

Erika came from a poor family where her parents fell into heavy debt sending her to medical school, but they kept the news from her. After Erika became a doctor, she found out about the debts in her name and she had to become a doctor for the Annex I project.

Erika first appeared surrounded by fire during the 2nd attack on Squad 1.

Powers and Abilities

After receiving her M.O. operation, Erika gained the abilities of a Schlegel's Japanese Gecko. She can cling to practically all surfaces with enough adhesion to support several times her weight.

Etymology

• The name Erika means "bay, inlet" (江) (e), "white jasmine" (莉) (ri) and "good, beautiful" (佳) (ka).
• Erika's surname Nakanojo means "middle" (中) (naka), "this" (之) (no) and "article" (条) (jo).
